“The best and most beautiful things in this world cannot be seen or even heard, but must be felt with the heart.” - Helen Keller
A couple of weeks ago I received a message from Jenna. It was a Saturday and she wondered if by any chance I was free the following day to photograph her and Adam for engagement photos. She stated that she had seen many photos I had done and would love it if I could take theirs too. They had photos with another photographer lined up for April but they were a little worried it would be a bit of a muddy mess outside. We do live in Minnesota so I completely understand this worry! To Jenna's surprise and excitement I was available and so that Sunday we set out to photograph their love. Taking photos of others and showcasing true love and happiness makes my heart so happy. They took me on two properties that mean so much to them. One of which is the home they will share as newlyweds in just a few short months.
I wanted to share with you all their love story.........
Jenna......."We met in passing 4 years ago the end of March at the Hub while The Whistkejacks were playing. That night we just got introduced to eachother but both of us were too shy to actually talk. I pointed out the "the really cute guy I just met" to my best friend, Kylee. Kylee knew who Adam was and was really good friends with his sister Abby that was there that night so they tried to get Adam and I to actually talk but we never did. A few days later he added me on Facebook, still too shy to talk. A couple weeks after that Adam FINALLY messaged me. We just talked for little over a month, getting to know eachother then went on our first date May 29th!
Pretty early on we both felt that this was a forever thing so we talked about our future and getting engaged for about a year before asking. Knowing how much I adore kids, Adam got a onesie made for my niece who was 2 months old at the time that said "Please say yes Auntie J!" On it. My family was all together at my parents farm so Adam had my brother put the onesie on my niece and brought her outside where Adam and I were sitting. Right away I knew she changed so as I was turning her around to see her shirt, I saw Adam getting down on one knee behind her. My family was all inside yelling and clapping the entire time and of course my mom was bawling by the time we got back inside. I said "Yes!" on June 8th and exactly a year later will be saying "I do" on June 8th!!"
Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.
